Gallery wrapped canvases are intended to be hung unframed. 
They now come in two depths. The original depth is  1 1/2". The entire image is 
shown on the front, but extra, coordinated pigment, has been added on the sides of 
the deeper one to compliment the picture . 
The new ones are 13/16" deep. The 13/16" one has solid color sides. 
No staples are visible. They are both ready to hang on your wall!
