About the prints
Illusions Gallery creates Fine Art Reproductions utilizing giclee process, which means we can produce the highest quality prints available.
Each Reproduction is printed on artists' grade canvas with pigmented inks, stretched on stretcher bars (wooden strips that create a framework across which the canvas is pulled taut), If you choose to have your reproduction brushstroked, one of our artists creates texture - much like the raised texture of the paint on an original canvas - by following the brushstrokes of the original artist with medium used especially for this type of work.

There is an important distinction between reproductions and copies: a reproduction is produced from a photographic image of the original work, whereas a copy (produced by an artist) results from attempting to create a new painting based on the original work. (If someone is really, really good at making a copy of a well-known piece of artwork, they are commonly known as a forger! :-) Canvas transfers are another way of recreating an original work; the technique involves lifting ink from a representation of the picture (i.e., from a poster) and transferring the ink to canvas.The business of creating art reproductions involves familiarity with a wide variety of art styles, artists, and art history, combined with the extensive technical knowledge required to produce the truest possible representation of the original. These are images obtained from the museums or their agents in most cases.

Shipping
Each print is produced to order. This allows us to offer a wide variety of art and keep the prices reasonable. Usual time is 1 week for your picture to be printed, stretched, varnished, and dried properly for safe shipping. Framing and/or brushstrokingoptions add to the total time required. International shipments:
Please be sure to select the appropriate shipping option at the checkout page to ensure correct shipping cost calculations. (This will prevent unnecessary delays in processing your order). Returns
(return policy,click here) - You may return an item in its original condition for a replacement or credit within 15 days of receipt. Please call or e-mail for a return authorization number. - Returns should be sent in the original packing, and insure the shipment (we cannot be responsible for pictures returned damaged). - Shipping charges can only be refunded if the return is due to our error. After a return has been received, it will take 1-2 weeks to process. - If you paid via credit card, the refund will be credited to your account.
Copyright
We can not print an image that is not the intellectual property of the person ordering unless you provide us with a valid copyright release.
